Looking for a stable, permanent role where you can make a real impact?

Join Morgan Sindall Property Services and play a key role in delivering electrical compliance and planned investment works in Leeds.

We are investing in our in-house electrical capability to support a major programme of 5-year electrical testing and inspection (EICRs) across our housing stock, alongside upcoming heating and hot water system lifecycle replacement projects.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician with strong testing and inspection experience to join a growing team, helping us deliver a safer, more efficient service for our residents while reducing reliance on external contractors.

In return, you'll benefit from a company van, annual bonus scheme, excellent benefits package and genuine opportunities for career development.

About the Role

We're looking for a qualified Electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service to join our repairs and maintenance team working across social housing properties throughout South and West Yorkshire. You'll play an important role in helping to keep residents safe by maintaining compliant electrical systems and delivering high-quality repairs across local communities.

You’ll be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs, carrying out EICRs and inspections, and undertaking installation works while ensuring full compliance with current electrical regulations and company standards. Working both independently and as part of a wider team, you’ll use electronic systems to manage and record your work.

About You

We're looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and maintaining safe, compliant homes. You'll have experience in domestic electrical repairs, installations, fault finding, testing and inspection, including the completion of EICRs, certification and remedial works within occupied properties. You'll be able to work independently, manage your own workload and deliver excellent customer service. Experience within social housing, compliance programmes or planned investment works would be advantageous.

Essential Qualifications

You must hold:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation – Buildings & Structures) or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment).

  • Plus either Level 3 Certificate in the Certification of Electrical Installations or City & Guilds 2394, together with City & Guilds 2395.

  • BS7671 Electrical Installations (18th Edition).

Skills & Experience

You’ll have proven experience carrying out electrical repairs, installations, fault finding, testing and inspection within domestic properties, including EICRs and certification work. You should have a strong understanding of electrical compliance requirements and current regulations, with the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of health, safety and customer service. An ECS Gold Card and experience within social housing, cyclical compliance programmes or heating and hot water replacement projects would be advantageous.
