Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking an Electrician to perform installation, fault-finding and maintenance across occupied properties, producing Electrical Condition Reports and carrying out remedial works. The role involves lone and team work, with a company van and power tools provided, and training available as required.

Applicants must have NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52, 18th Edition, AM2, and a valid UK driving licence, with strong health & safety knowledge and customer-focused

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 3 in core electrics and City & Guilds 2391-52; 18th Edition 3rd/4th and AM2.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Good communication and customer-focused approach.
• Comfortable using IT and NIC EIC Online Certification Platform.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and maintain clear daily records.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns to meet customer expectations and contract standards.
• Resolve problems and inform customers of resolutions following agreed processes.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and stocked as needed; work with Sanctuary to support property maintenance.

We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our team. The role will involve a variety of lone and team work with varied responsibilities. You will primarily be responsible for inspection and testing in occupied properties and producing Electrical Condition Reports, as well as remedial works. You will be provided with a company van and power tools, training will be provided, as and when required. The role of Electrician will include:

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets, We work closely with the Home Office in order to prevent unlawful working.

A basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be necessary in the event of a successful application which we will pay for. Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, an exempt charity.

Qualifications

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52, 18th Edition - 3rd and 4th amendment and AM2. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
• Comfortable using IT and the ability to use NIC EIC Online Certification Platform
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
