Job summary

Think Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a leading maintenance division in the Kettering/Corby area on an ongoing temporary contract.

You will carry out remedial works, testing, fault finding, and rewiring in social housing, maintain safety standards, and contribute to responsive repairs across the region. The role requires valid City & Guilds certificates and a driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
• Must hold City & Guilds 2391 Test & Inspection (or equivalent).
• Must have proven Testing & Inspection experience.
• Must have experience working within a social housing environment.
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence; own vehicle preferred or use of a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical remedial works within occupied and void social housing properties
• Complete electrical testing, inspection, and fault finding to ensure compliance
• Undertake rewiring works within void properties where required
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to a high standard
• Record completed works accurately using PDA systems
• Work in line with Health & Safety regulations and electrical standards
• Participate in the out of hours call out rota (1 week in every 4)
• Deliver responsive maintenance works across the Kettering and Corby area

Pay: £25.78 per hour (Paid weekly via umbrella)

Hours: 37 Hours

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 3 months (ongoing)

Electrician

• Carry out electrical remedial works within occupied and void social housing properties
• Complete electrical testing, inspection, and fault finding to ensure compliance
• Undertake rewiring works within void properties where required

• Own vehicle preferred (45p per mile mileage paid) or use of a company vehicle
• Own standard power tools beneficial
• Willing to undertake CAT B Asbestos Training or provide existing certification
