Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance professional in the UK. The role involves proactive and reactive maintenance, contractor oversight, and ensuring safety and quality across contracted services.

Ideal candidates will have electrical installation qualifications, gardening tools knowledge, and a full driving licence. The position offers on-site work with opportunities for growth and development within a leading facilities management group.

Qualifications

• Craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship or City & Guilds 2350 NVQ.
• Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2.
• Current wiring regulations qualification such as City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18th Edition); valid CSCS card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, proactive and reactive maintenance works issued via helpdesk within set timeframes.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure workmanship meets standards.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to company standards.
• Evaluate performance and ensure service maintenance under contract.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Contribute to overall efficiency, profitability and service delivery.
• Support integrated delivery of contracted services, delivering on time, within budget, to quality standards.

Job description

About The Role

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30

Key Responsibilities

• To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
• To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation
• The successful candidate must provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• The candidate will support with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Hiring Criteria

• Previous experience working within Facilities Management would be ideal
• Full clean driving licence
• Able to carry out basic IT tasks on handheld devices.

Essential Qualifications

• An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
