Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, is looking for an experienced Electrician to join the Dumfries branch and support water treatment projects on wastewater sites.

You will install, commission and test filtration systems, inspect sites and prepare quotes. The role requires NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations, 18th Edition, JIB Gold Card and C&G 2391, plus willingness to travel and work away from home.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations and 18th Edition are required.
• JIB Gold Card and C&G 2391 (inspection & testing) preferred.
• Valid driving license is required.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Experience with water treatment or wastewater equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage sites.
• Carry out site inspections and fault finding, prepare survey reports for quotations.
• Access and interpret technical instructions using mobile equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors on wastewater sites.
• Occasional workshop work across the country.
• Work as part of a team with other staff and trades.

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced/qualified Electrician to join us at our Dumfries branch.

• You will be Installing, commissioning, setting up and testing water filtration systems on sewage sites
• You will carry out site inspections and fault finding and compile survey reports for quotation purposes
• You will be required to access and interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment
• You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces and outside on sites connected with Wastewater (sewage)
• You will be required to work away from home on a regular basis, requiring overnight stays.
• You may also be required to work in some of our workshops across the country on occasion
• You will be working as a team with other staff and trades within the business
