Job description

Job Opportunity: Maintenance Electrician

Daniel Owen Agency is currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to work for a rail-based contractor. The role involves working between Stansted & Chelmsford, so a driver’s license is preferable due to travel requirements. A DBS certificate is also necessary.

The position is scheduled for Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:30, with possible additional hours depending on workload, and occasional weekend work for callouts.

Responsibilities include:

• Receiving and checking delivery notes, then handing them to the foreman
• Performing reactive and planned maintenance on electrical equipment listed on the client's asset register
• Completing and submitting worksheets to the head office every Friday
• Recommending conditions of plant and submitting Life Expired asset reports if needed
• Carrying out Planned Maintenance in accordance with client specifications
• Listing remedial works after PPM visits
• Assisting the Contracts Manager with cost estimations for remedial works
• Managing other job materials and submitting paperwork to the Head Office weekly
• Attending training and H&S courses as directed
• Reporting accidents to your designated First Aider during site induction and completing accident reports as required
