Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an Electrician for a six to nine month contract to carry out EICRs and remedial work across council housing in the High Peak area. An early start is preferred with most work in occupied homes and some sheltered housing.

You will test, record results on a tablet, and travel between properties. Applicants should have a 2391 inspection and testing qualification and experience with domestic EICRs.

Qualifications

• Experience completing domestic EICRs in occupied properties.
• Strong inspection and testing skills prioritized.
• Social housing experience useful but not essential.
• Available to start within weeks.

Job description

Enjoy a six to nine month Electrician contract paying £27 to £28 per hour, carrying out EICRs and remedial work across council housing in the High Peak area. An early start is preferred.

Most of the work is in occupied homes, with some sheltered housing and occasional void properties. You’ll generally complete around two tests per day, although you may complete more when working on smaller properties within the same sheltered housing scheme.

I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as an Electrician, Testing Electrician or Electrical Tester in domestic properties.

Social housing experience would be useful, but strong inspection and testing skills are the priority.

As an Electrician, you will be:

• Completing EICRs and fixed wire testing in occupied homes
• Carrying out remedial work for C1 and C2 findings
• Recording C3 findings without carrying out those repairs
• Entering test results on a tablet
• Travelling between scheduled properties across the High Peak

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

• A 2391 inspection and testing qualification
• Experience completing domestic EICRs and associated remedials
• The ability to work confidently in occupied properties
• Availability to start within the next few weeks
• A Level 3 electrical qualification would be preferred
• Social housing experience would be beneficial

The Electrician role offers:

• £27 to £28 per hour
