What is this role about?
- Assembly of Electrical Switchgear and associated Electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales.
- Apply good workmanship, ensure quality standards are maintained for the products both in the factory and at customers' premises.
- Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.

What kind of work will you be doing?
- Working from drawings, manuals, schematics etc.
- Proven experience working on assembly of both mechanical and electrical equipment and electromechanical systems.
- Contribute to fitting, building or construction of various parts to ensure a smooth process of component amalgamation.
- Assembly of parts or components to build a new or repeatable product.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of engineering tools and electrical hand tools, including torquing.
- Maturity and engineering practicality.
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Apply good workmanship and maintain quality standards.
- Report substandard/malfunctioning or defective parts.
- Select, measure, and modify components for proper fit.
- Carry out Material Take Offs (MTOs) and order materials for internal and site tasks.
- Assemble prototype and development units with Supervisors and managers.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment and equipment.
- Meet deadlines and adhere to Quality and Health & Safety principles.
- Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible with overtime, and work well in a team.
- Conduct testing of panels, including current injection.
- Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance and site modifications.
- Conduct Thermal Imaging inspections and write reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualification Criteria:
Essential qualifications and experience include:
- C&G Electrical Qualification & an Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 or equivalent.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
- Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacturing or similar.
- Experience in field service work/on-site installations.
- Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method statements.
Must be a time-served Electrician/Technician with experience in panel wiring of PLCs, Motor control centres, control panels, or industrial installation experience in Water treatment plants, Petro-Chemical facilities, MCCs, instrumentation, etc.
