Qualifications

• Time-served Electrician/Technician with panel wiring experience.
• Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacturing or similar fields.
• Proven field service work or on-site installation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical switchgear and electromechanical systems.
• Conduct testing of panels including current injection.
• Maintain quality standards and adhere to Health & Safety principles.

What is this role about?

• Assembly of Electrical Switchgear and associated Electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales.
• Apply good workmanship, ensure quality standards are maintained for the products both in the factory and at customers' premises.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Working from drawings, manuals, schematics etc.
• Proven experience working on assembly of both mechanical and electrical equipment and electromechanical systems.
• Contribute to fitting, building or construction of various parts to ensure a smooth process of component amalgamation.
• Assembly of parts or components to build a new or repeatable product.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of engineering tools and electrical hand tools, including torquing.
• Maturity and engineering practicality.
• Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
• Mentor and develop team members.
• Apply good workmanship and maintain quality standards.
• Report substandard/malfunctioning or defective parts.
• Select, measure, and modify components for proper fit.
• Carry out Material Take Offs (MTOs) and order materials for internal and site tasks.
• Assemble prototype and development units with Supervisors and managers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment and equipment.
• Meet deadlines and adhere to Quality and Health & Safety principles.
• Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible with overtime, and work well in a team.
• Conduct testing of panels, including current injection.
• Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance and site modifications.
• Conduct Thermal Imaging inspections and write reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience / Qualification Criteria:

Essential qualifications and experience include:

• C&G Electrical Qualification & an Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 or equivalent.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience in Electrical switchgear manufacturing or similar.
• Experience in field service work/on-site installations.
• Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method statements.

Must be a time-served Electrician/Technician with experience in panel wiring of PLCs, Motor control centres, control panels, or industrial installation experience in Water treatment plants, Petro-Chemical facilities, MCCs, instrumentation, etc.
