Job Role: Electrician

Location: HMP Bullingdon, OX25

Salary: £44,818.21 inclusive of £3,000 in allowances per annum

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison.

HMP Bullingdon operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, we are committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking Electricians with:

1. At least two years' experience as an electrician
2. Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems
3. Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
4. Qualifications: C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation), NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
5. 17th or 18th Edition wiring regulations
6. Certificate in BS7671
7. Good health & safety knowledge
8. Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
