Electrician

Location: Belfast based with travel to project sites

About the Role

We are seeking experienced and suitably qualified Electricians to join teams delivering major electrical and infrastructure projects. Based out of the Belfast office and covering Belfast to Dublin, successful candidates will work across a diverse portfolio of technically demanding projects, including High Voltage and Low Voltage (HV/LV) electrical networks, renewable energy developments, mission-critical infrastructure and major civil engineering schemes.

The role will involve electrical installation, construction, testing and associated site activities in accordance with project specifications, electrical standards, safe systems of work and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, termination and connection of LV electrical systems, equipment and associated cabling.


• Supporting the installation and construction of HV electrical infrastructure where appropriately trained and authorised.


• Installation of containment systems, including cable tray, ladder, trunking, conduit and associated supports.


• Cable installation, dressing, glanding and termination in accordance with drawings and project specifications.


• Installation and connection of electrical panels, switchgear, distribution equipment and associated electrical infrastructure.


• Working on electrical systems associated with renewable energy and major infrastructure projects.


• Follow all site health, safety and environmental procedures.


• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, cable schedules, specifications and construction documentation.


• Carrying out electrical testing, inspection and verification activities within the limits of individual qualifications and authorisations.


• Identifying installation issues and working with supervisors, engineers and other trades to resolve them efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience

Candidates should have a recognised electrical trade qualification or apprenticeship and relevant experience working within the electrical construction, utilities, energy or infrastructure sectors.

• Utilities and power networks.


• Renewable energy projects.


• Industrial electrical installations.


• Electrical testing and commissioning.

Additional qualifications relating to electrical testing and inspection, HV systems, access equipment, lifting operations, confined spaces, first aid or other specialist activities may be advantageous depending on project requirements.
