Job summary

Combined Facilities Management in Northern Ireland is seeking a qualified electrician to deliver electrical maintenance, installation, inspection, testing and servicing across assorted sectors. The role operates in a fast-paced environment with safety and codes compliance.

An Access NI check will be carried out if successful, and the package includes a competitive salary, on-call structure, van, fuel card, and benefits such as Healthcare Cash Plan and life assurance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced construction industry with focus on housing maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety issues.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services & Installation or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition or equivalent.
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 or equivalent.
  • CSR card or NVQ equivalent.
  • Access NI/Security Clearance.
  • Experience in domestic/residential and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Install, service and maintain electrical systems and appliances per IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Inspect and test installations and issue certificates/reports per BS7671.
  • Carry out electrical installation condition reports and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT).
  • Identify and quantify electrical remedial works.
  • Perform Emergency Lighting Testing and reporting.
  • Maintain electrical systems in domestic heating installations.
  • Follow company policies on equality and dignity at work.
  • Perform other duties as reasonably required.

This is a permanent full-time, Northern Ireland based role. Role Overview:

Operating within a fast-paced environment, this role will be responsible for the delivery of electrical maintenance, installation, inspection, testing & servicing across a wide range of sectors. The role will involve ensuring all works are carried out to required customer standards while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.

Please note an Access NI check will be carried out if successful.

Key Activities / Responsibilities:
  • Installation, servicing and maintenance of electrical systems and appliances in accordance with the current edition of IET Wiring Regulations to our customers properties.
  • Inspection and testing of new and existing electrical installation and the completion of appropriate certificates and reports in line with BS7671.
  • Carrying out electrical installation condition reports and Portable Appliance Testing
  • Identification and quantifying of electrical remedial works
  • Emergency Lighting Testing and reporting
  • Electrical installation and maintenance to domestic heating systems
  • To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work Policy.
  • To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required from time-to-time.
Education / Experience:
  • Experience operating within a face paced construction industry (a focus toward housing maintenance would be desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety issues

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 or equivalent
  • CSR card or NVQ equivalent
  • Experience of working in domestic/residential and commercial sectors.
  • Comply with requirements of SparkSafe ‘Qualified Electrician’
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Access NI/Security Clearance
