Job summary

ODIN RECRUITMENT GROUP LIMITED is seeking an Electrically Biased Multiskilled Engineer for our Wolverhampton site to support the maintenance of high-volume production equipment. You will optimise uptime, reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The role requires hands-on electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, knowledge of PLC systems, and a willingness to assist mechanical maintenance when needed.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification or demonstrable hands-on experience at an equivalent level
• Proven background in electrical maintenance within a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Some working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens S7 / Allen-Bradley)
• Multi-skilled capability with willingness to support mechanical maintenance activities

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery to maximise uptime and efficiency
• Complete maintenance documentation, data recording, and reporting accurately and within required timeframes
• Perform preventative maintenance and condition-based monitoring activities
• Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and technical drawings
• Support installation and upgrade projects including cabling and electrical infrastructure
• Work with systems involving pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC controls
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational best practice
• Provide cross-functional support to maintenance personnel when required
• Participate in training to remain compliant with current legislation and industry standards
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the business
• Support shift cover, overtime, and call-out requirements as needed
