Job summary

Stirling Warrington Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased) to cover planned and reactive maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment. You will also engage in component manufacture and continuous improvement projects to boost reliability.

The role requires a strong background in electro-mechanical maintenance, reading schematics, and experience in FMCG or similar manufacturing environments, with 5+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in Food Manufacturing, FMCG or similar production environment.
• Strong electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across electro-mechanical equipment.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns, fault find and complete repairs efficiently.
• Manufacture and repair components using lathes, milling machines and welding equipment.
• Work with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
• Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.
• Coordinate on-site contractors when required.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical knowledge and competence.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
