Starting Salary: from £38,855

About the Role

As an Electrical Apprenticeship Tutor, you will deliver practical and theoretical electrical training aligned with company and awarding organisation guidelines to apprentices and commercial clients. Your responsibilities include delivering qualifications such as 5357, 5393, 2382, and potentially others like C&G 2365 Level 2 & 3, C&G 2391, C&G 2377, C&G 2921, as well as BPEC Solar PV and Battery Storage courses. You may also develop training materials and oversee apprenticeship delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons and practical training across electrical installation and domestic subjects.
  • Develop and update lesson plans and training materials to industry standards.
  • Assess apprentices' work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Monitor and record apprentices' progress and achievements.
  • Provide one-on-one support and mentoring.
  • Conduct progress reviews with apprentices and employers.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with employers to meet workplace training needs.
  • Assess courses and maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and achievements.
  • Review apprentice performance and implement quality assurance procedures.
  • Promote health & safety, equality & diversity, safeguarding, and prevent policies.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and liaise with other departments.

Qualifications

  • Recent and relevant industry experience in electrical installation (domestic, commercial, or industrial).
  • Minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Knowledge of electrical and science principles.
  • Practical capabilities in electrical installations.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle for travel.
  • Ability to deliver the 5357, 5393, and 2382 qualifications.

Additional Skills and Qualifications

  • Level 3 Assessing qualification or equivalent.
  • Level 4 Internal Quality Audit certificate or equivalent.
  • Additional electrical qualifications like C&G 2396, 2391, or green credentials.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated, problem-solving, patient, and team-oriented.
  • Full UK Driving License.
