Job summary

Oakmoor Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Tutor/Assessor to deliver training and mentoring for learners on Electrical Installation qualifications. You will be a time-served electrical professional with relevant installation/maintenance experience and a Level 3 or above qualification.

Desirable qualifications include A1/TAQA or equivalent assessor credentials and a teaching qualification. If not held, full training will be provided to transition into a teaching role.

• A1 Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 etc.) is desirable.
• Teaching qualification is desirable.

OVERVIEW: ELECTRICAL TUTOR

An opportunity to join an innovative and well-established training provider, we are looking for an Electrical Tutor / Assessor to join their successful team.

You will be responsible for teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking qualifications in Electrical Installation and Maintenance. You will be a time served electrical professional with experience in electrical maintenance / installation, with a L3 or above qualification.

Ideally you will already hold the relevant Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA or equivalent), and a teaching qualification. If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, full training will be given!

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: ELECTRICAL TUTOR

• Train, motivate and support learners towards achieving electrical maintenance qualifications
• Support, develop, implement and evaluate approved electrical training materials, promoting standardisation, use approved training methods to develop the learner and utilise every opportunity to supporting them to achieving their qualification in a timely manner.
• Ensure the highest standards of learner completions are met

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ELECTRICAL TUTOR

• A1 Assessor Award (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33 etc.) (desirable)
• Teaching qualification (desirable)
• L3 Electrical Installation qualification
• A minimum 5 years' occupational experience within electrical installation / maintenance
