Job summary

ABCA Group is seeking an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer to perform EICRs, identify defects, complete certification, and carry out remedial works as required.

You will work to BS 7671 wiring regulations, record findings and prepare accurate reports using tablet-based software while delivering excellent service to tenants and clients. Essential qualifications include NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395, 18th Edition, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Proven experience carrying out EICRs in occupied and void properties.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in accordance with BS 7671.
• Accurately identify, diagnose, and record electrical defects and non-compliances.
• Complete certification, reports and documentation to a high professional standard.
• Carry out remedial works arising from inspection and testing results.
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service to tenants, clients and colleagues.
• Manage workload effectively, meeting deadlines and targets.
• Use tablet-based applications for certification, reporting and scheduling.

As an Electrical Testing & Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), identifying defects, completing certification, and undertaking remedial works where required. You will play a key role in ensuring electrical installations remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

What We're Looking For Essential Qualifications & Experience
