Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join a growing technical contractor delivering EICRs, inspection & testing, and remedial works across commercial properties in London and the South East.

This mobile role requires 18th Edition, 2391, BS7671 knowledge, and excellent reporting/communication skills, with a full UK driving licence and a path toward progression in electrical compliance.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition and 2391 Certification required.
• Experience carrying out commercial EICRs.
• Strong BS7671 knowledge and reporting skills.
• Full UK driving licence and client-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Carry out EICRs across commercial sites.
• Inspect, test and certify works.
• Produce detailed, compliant reports.
• Identify defects and recommend remedial actions.
• Complete remedial works where required.
• Liaise with clients and site teams.

Mobile Role

We're recruiting an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to join a growing technical contractor carrying out EICRs, inspection & testing, and remedial works across a portfolio of commercial properties throughout London and the South East.

This role is ideal for a quality-focused engineer who takes pride in producing accurate reports, delivering high standards of workmanship, and building strong client relationships.

The Role

• Carrying out EICRs across commercial sites
• Inspection, testing, and certification works
• Producing detailed and compliant reports
• Identifying defects and recommending remedial actions
• Completing remedial works where required
• Working closely with clients and site teams
• Ensuring compliance with BS7671 and industry standards

Requirements

• 18th Edition
• 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
• Experience carrying out commercial EICRs
• Strong understanding of BS7671
• Full UK Driving License
• Excellent reporting and communication skills

Desirable

• Commercial remedial experience
• IPAF / PASMA
• Compliance contract experience
