Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking a Contract Manufacturing Technician for a 12-month, on-site assignment in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The role centers on testing, fault finding, and repairing electrical/electronic systems, with calibration work and close collaboration with the production team.

The position requires soldering, crimping, wiring skills, and hands-on use of test equipment. SAP MRPl integration is used for tool testing and workflow.

Qualifications

• Further education in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Candidates could be suitable who are currently in roles such as Assembler, Electronics Assembler, PCB Assembler, Electrical Assembler, Production Operative, Wire Person, Manufacturing Operative or Technician.

Responsibilities

• Test, fault finding, and repair of various electrical and electronic systems and components.
• Work with the production team to assist with tool assembly, calibration, and testing.
• Test electrical and electromechanical tools based on procedures and interact with MRP systems (SAP).
• Maintain and repair the test equipment used to test tools.
• Perform soldering, crimping and general wiring tasks.
• Use of hand tools and fault finding in accordance with engineering diagrams and schematics.
