Job description

Electrical Test, Service and Installation Engineer - £30,000 - £37,500 - plus travel allowances and expenses covered, 25 days holiday + bank increasing with service, death in service benefit of 4x salary, salary sacrifice pension scheme and share incentive plan.

Role Overview

Join a leading manufacturer of niche instrumentation for specialised applications as a Test, Service and Installation Engineer. You will be based at their head office in East Grinstead, West Sussex, and be part of their test, service, and installation team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform final testing of instruments post-production, including electrical and mechanical inspection.
2. Assess overall performance of instruments and software.
3. Conduct on-site installation, training, and customer demonstrations.
4. Provide on-site and back-to-base maintenance and emergency service.
5. Carry out hardware and software upgrades.
6. Offer technical support via telephone and email to customers.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified to HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• At least 2 years of commercial experience in electrical testing, inspection, assembly, service engineering, or on-site support.
• Good understanding of electrical systems.
• Interested in a customer-facing role with international travel opportunities.
• Possess a full UK diving licence, a current passport, and willing to travel internationally (25-50%).
• Willing to undergo 3-6 months of product training.
