British Engineering Services Group is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer (Housing) to perform electrical testing in social housing across the South Tyneside area. You will work independently or with a team to deliver high‑quality repairs, testing and remedial works while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires relevant electrical qualifications, a driving licence, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation work (e.g. C&G 2330/2360/2357/2365).
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing (2394/2395) or equivalent.
• JIB Gold Card.
• BS7671 18th edition (or willing to achieve before starting).

Responsabilités

• Carry out electrical testing in social housing in domestic/communal areas.
• Undertake remedial works identified during testing.
• Comply with BS7671 and company standards of work performance and safety policies.
• Record electrical documentation using CRM and reporting software.
• Carry out electrical condition reporting, repairs and installations to high standards.
• Liaise with tenants, customers and supply chain members.
• Maintain van stocks and improve first-time fixes for the area.
