We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineer with an electronics/test bias to join our team. In this position, they will support operations by designing and producing test equipment for in-process sub-assembly testing and LRU/RMA testing, and by writing test plans to carry out these tests. Additionally, they will provide technical support to the Operations department to improve processes and resolve technical issues.
Key Responsibilities: Electrical Test Engineer
- Serve as an interface between Engineering and Production teams from a test perspective, helping to determine in-process testing requirements during production to improve build quality and reduce rework time.
- Provide electrical and test support to effectively address engineering production problems, minimizing production delays.
- Design and develop test equipment, and assist in the procurement of equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
- Develop test plans and procedures, and plan and coordinate production engineering processes to ensure high-quality products that meet customer requirements.
- Support Engineering with the implementation of Change Requests (CRs).
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance production capacity, quality, and reliability, supporting continuous improvement activities. Implement cost reduction initiatives to achieve year-on-year cost savings.
Skills & Experience: Electrical Test Engineer
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a test or engineering environment, or qualifications such as BTEC/City & Guilds Level 2.
- Excellent knowledge of testing electrical and electromechanical equipment.
- Strong ability to read complex technical drawings, including wiring diagrams and PCB schematics.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences.
