Job Description:

• Location: Horsham, West Sussex

We work alongside you to deliver proven surveillance and fire control solutions for the most demanding environments.

Joining the Test Department and reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Test Engineer will be responsible for testing electro-optical-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, assemblies, and systems, recording results accurately, flagging issues to the engineering team, and carrying out fault-finding to diagnose production or design issues.

• Undertaking Factory Acceptance Tests using standard workshop test equipment such as power supplies, digital multi-meters & oscilloscopes.
• Assist in creating test procedures and FAT documents.
• Fault-find electromechanical equipment.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ensure health & safety regulations and guidelines are followed at all times.
• Follow procedures as specified in the Quality Manual.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Assist in maintaining the office and workshop in a clean and orderly state, ensuring good project housekeeping.

Skills & Experience - Test Engineer

• Excellent knowledge of manual testing of electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to write comprehensive test plans and factory acceptance tests for new product launches.
• Ability to read complex technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and PCB schematics.
• Support production and quality activities when required.
• ONC or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering.
• Experience with manual testing and integration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
