Job summary
Sustainable Talent LTD is recruiting a Tendering & Design Engineer in Glasgow to lead the design of new electrical infrastructure projects within the major projects unit. The role requires ensuring designs meet client needs, managing risk, and communicating residual risks to the Project Manager for onsite delivery.
The successful candidate will liaise with multidisciplinary teams, perform site assessments, and ensure compliance with UK regulations and safety standards while delivering
Qualifications
- Degree in Power / Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience in tendering or design disciplines, or both.
- Capable of managing clients and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to use AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preliminary site assessments and create initial design concepts for feasibility and tender stages.
- Produce costings from an established master BOQ in collaboration with the estimating team.
- Develop electrical designs for construction projects, including layout, power requirements and safety features.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Liaise with design partners to obtain construction designs for the project.
