Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Electrical Technician for the Southern Region, with a home base at Humber Lane, Tidworth. You will work with the site team to keep plant running safely, attend breakdowns promptly and maintain spares records.

A full driving licence and IT basics are required. The role includes 40 hours per week plus standby on a 1 in 4 week cycle, with a company vehicle and pension, plus training opportunities and employee wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 electrical qualification and 18th edition wiring regs.
• City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 / ECS or JIB card holder.
• City & Guilds Level 3 Testing and Inspection qualification or equivalent.
• Thermal imaging qualification is beneficial.
• Portable appliance testing qualification is advantageous.
• Must have a full driving licence and basic IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Veolia site management to ensure site personnel, contractors and visitors are safe.
• Attend to plant and equipment breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Report unsafe or defective plant, tools, equipment, PPE, practices, methods or hazards.
• Use and operate workshop facilities and equipment safely and in accordance with requirements.
• Assist in upkeep and record keeping of spares and accessories.
• Participate in confined space operations and undertake required training.
