Rullion is seeking an Electrical Modifications Technician - Rail at Beckton Depot to support a major Rolling Stock project. You will overhaul, repair and modify wheelsets, bogies and related components to high safety and quality standards.

You will run and terminate cables in control panels, assist with bogie overhauls, manage materials, and help with depot cleaning as required. A background in electrical engineering and basic fault-finding are essential; rail experience is desirable.

Qualificações

• Background in electrical engineering or a similar process-based environment.
• Basic fault-finding skills.
• Previous rail industry experience desirable.
• Ability to accurately record work and follow procedures.
• Strong understanding of safe use and care of tools, PPE.
• Health & Safety knowledge including COSHH and biohazards.
• Computer literacy and ability to interpret technical documents.
• Capable of producing detailed technical reports when required.

Electrical Modifications Technician - Rail

Location: Beckton Depot

Contract: June (with potential for extension)

Shifts: 50 hour weeks. Days only - Monday - Friday

Digs can be provided by the client

Umbrella: £31.06 per hour / £32.92 (the rate includes 130% night shift uplift)

PAYE:

£24.49 per hour (the rate includes 130% night shift uplift)

Role Overview

We are looking for skilled Technicians to support a major Rolling Stock project, working on a variety of rail fleets within a modern, well-equipped depot. You'll be responsible for overhaul, repair, and modification activities on wheelsets, bogies, and associated components, working to all required safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Running of cables and terminate cables in control panels.

Repair and reassemble components following technical guidelines.

• Assist the wider team with bogie and wheelset overhauls, supporting collaborative working and skill development.
• Identify and collect required materials and spares from stores.
• Support general depot and rolling stock cleaning when required.

Principal Accountabilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical repairs, modifications, and overhauls as part of the Engineering Team.
• Work safely and efficiently within a structured maintenance environment.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required technical and safety standards.

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Background in electrical engineering or a similar process-based environment.
• Basic fault-finding skills.
• Previous experience working within the rail industry is desirable.
• Ability to accurately record work completed and follow all procedures.
• Strong understanding of safe use and care of tools, equipment, and PPE.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, including manual handling, COSHH, and biohazards.
• Computer literacy and the ability to interpret technical documents.
• Capable of producing detailed technical reports when required.

All PPE provided by the client and Health and Safety explained before and on site.
