Job summary

Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Electrical Technician to maintain and ensure the safe, continuous operation of mechanical and electrical engineering services and building plant across the Trust.

You will work across a range of complex plant, liaise with the Estates Department and management, explain issues and impacts to staff and contractors, and participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies across building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing trades.

Qualifications

• Maintenance of electrical plant and building services across a wide range of equipment.
• Ability to diagnose issues and implement practical repairs within HTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical and building plant.
• Liaise with the Estates Department and Management on daily tasks and issues.
• Explain problems and impact of work to staff and contractors; support on-site operations.
• Participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support for emergencies.
