Sierra Nevada Corporation Mission Systems UK in St Athan is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the manufacture, installation, integration and maintenance of electrical systems for aerospace and defence products.
You will perform electrical assembly and wiring activities, interpret wiring diagrams and assist with testing and fault-finding in a fast-paced environment. A technical apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 are essential.

It is an exciting time to join SNC Missions UK as we are expanding, you will get stuck in supporting the manufacture, installation, integration, testing and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment associated with aerospace and defence products. As an Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for performing electrical assembly and wiring activities in accordance with engineering documentation, quality standards and safety requirements.
No two days will be the same as you will be
Carrying out electrical assembly, wiring, termination and integration activities.
Assembling and install electrical components, harnesses, looms and sub-assemblies.
Supporting electrical testing, fault-finding and rectification activities.
Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
Participating in continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Electrotechnical Engineering or related discipline. Completed technical apprenticeship
Electrical assembly, wiring or installation experience.
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Electrical fault diagnosis, wiring, cable termination and continuity testing. Knowledge of safe working practices
Methodical and organised approach to work.
High level of attention to detail.
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering. IPC or aerospace electrical certifications.
Aerospace, defence, military, rail or other regulated-industry experience.
Experience working to aerospace or military standards.
Experience supporting new product introductions and engineering change activities.
