Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join Didcot STW. You will inspect, maintain and fault diagnose mechanical plant and electrical equipment to keep sites running with minimal supervision.
You will work on pumps, motors, control gear, VSDs, PLCs, dosing equipment and related systems, with a requirement for a time-served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent. A valid driving licence and strong safety awareness are essential.
We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team at Didcot Sewage Treatment Works.
As a successful candidate, you will be using your mechanical & electrical knowledge as well as your experience to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe, efficient, timely and effective manner with minimum supervision allowing us to ensure that all of our sites remain operational for the benefits of our customers.

38 Hours, Monday- Friday 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, plus Standby rota payments & Overtime opportunities can increase the earning potential by up to a further £8,000-£10,000 per annum upon completion of essential company training.
All PPE, tools, a company van and a fuel card are provided.
You must have previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering, with an upskill in mechanical NVQ2/3 is crucial.
