Job summary

An established industry player is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their dynamic team in Fife. Job description

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Escape Recruitment is working with a manufacturing client based in Fife to recruit an Electrical Technician on a permanent basis.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Time-served with control system experience.
  • Preferably hold IEE 17th Edition and compEx 01-04 Hazardous Area System and Installation qualifications.
  • Ability to produce trade papers upon application.

Job Purpose:

To construct, install, maintain, and commission electrical systems and installations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret all aspects of electrical engineering drawings.
  2. Select and erect Ex-rated cable glands, containment, enclosures, cabling, and connectors.
  3. Be knowledgeable of various electrical components.
  4. Inspect and test electrical systems.
  5. Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues as required.
  6. Install, commission, and test client and company-specific equipment.
  7. Create detailed service reports, maintain accurate records, and complete all paperwork, test procedures, risk assessments, and toolbox talks to a high standard.
  8. Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required.

We are looking to hire for workshop-based roles. Candidates should demonstrate a high standard in task completion, with a strong engineering background and the ability to work unsupervised.
