Qualifications

  • Time served electrical engineer with relevant qualifications.
  • Good understanding of PLC systems, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens.
  • Proven fault finding track record in an FMCG setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical support to the engineering team.
  • Maintain and upgrade site PLC programs.
  • Support electrical duty holder in maintaining site standards.
  • Train and upskill shift engineers and apprentices.
  • Review electrical specifications of equipment.

Our client is recruiting for an Electrical Systems Engineer to join their manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity for an established electrical engineer with controls experience to join a leading food manufacturer. The successful candidate would join the engineering department working Monday to Friday.

JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Electrical Systems Engineer

Work Location: Northern Ireland

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

Rotating: 4 on 4 off Days 05:30 - 17:30 and Nights 17:30 - 05:30

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The role of the electrical systems engineer on site is to provide electrical support to the on-site engineering team through advice and guidance as well as hands-on technical support.
  • Upgrade and maintain site PLC programs and backups, review obsolete systems and upgrade.
  • Support electrical duty holder in maintaining site standards.
  • Support with training and upskilling shift engineers and apprentices
  • Review site electrical specifications of existing equipment and new installations

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Role requirements and qualifications:

  • Time served electrical engineer, HNC/HND in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • A good understanding of working with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
  • A proven track record of fault finding from a FMCG environment.
  • Able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility as and when required.
