Job summary

Mint Selection are partnering with a leading energy organisation to recruit an Electrical Supervisor for a utility-scale BESS project in Manchester. You will supervise electrical construction, ensuring safety, quality and programme compliance on site.

The role requires overseeing LV/MV systems and coordinating subcontractors, while maintaining QA/QC through ITPs, snagging and handover documentation. Immediate start on a 12-month renewable contract, outside IR35.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on utility-scale energy projects.
• Experience delivering BESS, Solar, HV Substation, Grid Connection or Renewables projects is desirable.
• Strong QA/QC background with ITPs, inspections and NCR management.
• Excellent knowledge of LV/MV installations, switchgear and protection systems.
• Experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Familiarity with RAMS and permit-to-work systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all electrical construction activities on a utility-scale BESS project.
• Act as primary contact for electrical subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee LV/MV installations, switchgear, transformers, containment and cabling.
• Ensure installations meet drawings, specifications and project quality requirements.
• Lead QA/QC, inspections, ITPs, punch lists and non-conformance close-out.
• Support documentation: inspection records, test packs and handover dossiers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement corrective actions; conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections.
• Maintain RAMS, permit-to-work compliance and documentation in line with RAMS procedures.
