Lyons Electrical in Strood, Kent, is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead large commercial and industrial projects on site. You will manage a team, ensure safety, quality, and delivery on time while representing the company with clients.

Role requires proven supervisory experience, a full electrical qualification, and familiarity with BS 7671 and RAMS. You will coordinate electricians, apprentices and subcontractors to achieve project milestones and handover.

Qualifications

• Applicants must have a recognised electrical apprenticeship and be a fully qualified electrician.
• Significant commercial/industrial electrical experience with supervision experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage projects on site.

Electrical Supervisor Strood, Kent Full Time £60,000 £65,000 per annum + overtime

With over 45 years experience, Lyons Electrical is an established commercial and industrial electrical contractor based in Strood, Kent.

The Role

We re looking for an experienced, hands-on Electrical Supervisor with a proven track record of successfully running large commercial and industrial electrical projects.

This is a key site-based role for someone who can take ownership of a project, lead a team effectively and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards of workmanship.

As an Electrical Supervisor with Lyons Electrical, you ll play a key role in overseeing projects on site and representing the company professionally when working with clients, contractors and other site teams.

You ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of electrical projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.

Working closely with project managers, clients and other contractors, you ll be expected to:

• Plan, organise and supervise electrical installation works
• Lead and coordinate electricians, apprentices and subcontractors where required
• Manage labour, materials, equipment and site resources effectively
• Monitor progress against the project programme and ensure key dates are achieved
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and schedules
• Identify potential issues early and work proactively to resolve them
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with BS 7671, project specifications and company standards
• Maintain a strong focus on quality control, testing, snagging and final handover
• Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained at all times
• Work with RAMS, permits, safe systems of work and site documentation
• Liaise professionally with clients, project managers, other trades and site management
• Carry out site inspections and ensure work is completed correctly and to the required standard
• Lead by example and support the development of electricians and apprentices within the team

This role would suit someone who takes real pride in their work, maintains high standards and has the confidence and experience to take responsibility for a project and the team delivering it.

Applicants MUST have

• A recognised electrical apprenticeship and be a fully qualified electrician
• Significant commercial and industrial electrical experience
• Proven experience supervising electrical teams and running electrical projects
• City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing qualification
• SSSTS qualification
• A valid ECS card
• A strong working knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• The ability to plan works, allocate labour and manage materials effectively
• The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical information
• Experience working with RAMS, permits and safe systems of work
• A strong understanding of quality control, testing, snagging and project handover
• The ability to liaise confidently and professionally with clients and other contractors
• A full, clean UK driving licence
