Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team on an exciting office fit-out project in Manchester. The role involves supervising electrical operatives and subcontractors, ensuring installations meet safety, quality, and programme requirements, and coordinating with site management.

You will read drawings, manage materials, conduct inspections, and assist with testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising electrical works on commercial or office fit-out projects.
• Valid safety and electrical qualifications as listed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Monitor progress against the project programme and report to Site/Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regulations and health & safety legislation.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure work meets specifications.
• Coordinate with other trades to maintain workflow.
• Order materials and manage site resources.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture on site.

Electrical Supervisor - Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical operatives and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure all electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Monitor progress against the project programme and report to the Site Manager/Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations, health & safety legislation, and company procedures.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure all work meets project specifications.
• Coordinate with other trades to maintain project workflow.
• Order materials and manage site resources effectively.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture and ensure all operatives follow site procedures.

Electrical Supervisor - Requirements

• Previous experience supervising electrical works on commercial or office fit-out projects.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Gold ECS Card.
• SSSTS qualification.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Strong understanding of current health & safety regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
