Job summary

Gearing Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a major heavy industrial engineering project. You will supervise electrical installation activities on site, coordinate the electrical workforce and work with the project and engineering teams to deliver on schedule and to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation and construction activities on site.
• Coordinate electricians and subcontractors and monitor progress.
• Ensure works align with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Carry out site inspections for workmanship, quality and compliance.
• Assist planning and coordination of daily site activities and resources.
• Ensure works follow RAMS and site safety procedures.
• Liaise with project management and engineers to coordinate works.
• Identify issues or delays and support resolution.

ELECTRICAL SUPERVISOR

A leading engineering and industrial services business is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a major heavy industrial engineering project.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Electrical Supervisor with a strong industrial background to take responsibility for supervising electrical works and ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for supervising electrical installation activities on site, coordinating the electrical workforce and working closely with the wider project and engineering teams to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise electrical installation and construction activities across the project.
• Coordinate electricians and subcontractors, allocating work and monitoring progress.
• Ensure electrical works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor workmanship, quality and compliance.
• Support the planning and coordination of daily site activities and resources.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS, site procedures and health & safety requirements.
• Liaise with project management, engineers and other site disciplines to coordinate works effectively.
• Identify and report issues, delays or technical concerns and support their resolution.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience working as an Electrical Supervisor within an industrial, heavy engineering, manufacturing or similar environment.
• A valid ECS card and 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Own PPE
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation and site-based construction practices.
• Experience supervising electricians and subcontractors on large-scale projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
