Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications and supervisory qualifications are required.
• Experience leading electrical installations on large sites, preferably Tier 1 projects.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory for prison environments; willing to obtain before starting.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification and CSCS Gold or Black Card are preferred.

Responsibilities

Electrical Supervisor Needed in Bedford - Min 12 Months - Up to £400 per day

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on a major prison project in Bedfordshire.

This is a long-term opportunity, with a minimum contract duration of 12 months, offering an attractive £400 per day via Umbrella PAYE.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising electrical works on site, ensuring all activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, programmes, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation works on site.
• Manage electrical subcontractors and site teams, ensuring works are completed to programme.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with drawings, specifications, RAMS, and relevant regulations.
• Monitor quality and progress of electrical installations.
• Coordinate with the wider construction team, site management, and other trades.
• Carry out regular inspections and ensure any defects or issues are identified and rectified.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained at all times.
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and any technical issues.
• Assist with planning, sequencing, and coordination of electrical works.
• Ensure all works are completed in line with the requirements of the Tier 1 contractor and client.

Requirements

• Strong experience working on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor is highly desirable.
• Relevant electrical qualifications and/or supervisory qualifications.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, construction processes, and site health & safety.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to lead subcontractors and electrical teams effectively.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is mandatory due to the live prison environment. Candidates must be willing and able to successfully complete the required enhanced DBS check before commencing work.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• CSCS Gold or Black Card
