If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Octavius Infrastructure, a leading provider of rail infrastructure services, is seeking an Electrification & Plant Site Manager to join our Southern Renewals Enterprise team. You will oversee the delivery of electrification and plant renewals and enhancements, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Additionally, you will manage and develop a team of technicians and operatives, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrification and plant assets, such as overhead line equipment, power supply systems, signalling power, and lighting.
  2. Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, standards, and procedures.
  3. Monitor and report on the progress, performance, and quality of works, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  4. Manage and maintain the electrification and plant asset register, ensuring all records and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
  5. Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and subcontractors, resolving issues or queries that arise.
  6. Manage and develop the skills and competencies of the electrification and plant staff, conducting regular appraisals and reviews.
  7. Ensure all health, safety, and environmental requirements are met, promoting a positive safety culture within the team.
  8. Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with the project manager, client, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification & 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience in electrification and plant supervision and management within the rail industry.
  • Knowledge of High Voltage (HV) feeders and associated equipment.
  • Excellent understanding of electrification and plant standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of programming and contract conditions (NEC, ICE, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software applications.
  • Full UK driving license.
