Electrical Manager – Commercial & Life Sciences Projects

Location: Oxford

Salary: £65,000 + Benefits

Start Date: ASAP

Company Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established design & build M&E contractor, operating within their Commercial & Life Sciences division. The company has a strong pipeline of projects and partners with leading Tier 1 contractors such as Balfour Beatty, Bouygues, and Willmott Dixon. They are known for delivering complex, high-spec schemes and offer long-term career development in a supportive environment.

The Role

As Electrical Manager, based on-site in Oxford, you will manage the electrical package, report to the Electrical Project Manager, and coordinate with the Mechanical team to ensure smooth project execution across all building services disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee electrical installation works on-site from start to finish
2. Supervise subcontractors, ensuring quality and health & safety compliance
3. Liaise with Electrical PM and design teams to resolve technical issues
4. Attend coordination and client meetings
5. Monitor progress against the programme and report on milestones
6. Support commissioning and handover processes

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally on commercial or life sciences projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems
• SMSTS, CSCS, and relevant industry qualifications
• Excellent coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary project team
