Job summary

Mech Electrics Limited on Anglesey is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee the MEP installation for a new two-storey building. The role focuses on LV power, lighting, cabling, security systems and basic ventilation, coordinating with structural and other trades to maintain schedule.

The ideal candidate has solid MEP contracting background, SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS credentials, and can commit to approximately eight months on site in Anglesey with travel and accommodation

Qualifications

• Previous Electrical Site Manager experience.
• Strong building-services or MEP installation knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors on major construction projects.
• In-date SMSTS, First Aid certificate, CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the electrical and associated MEP installation.
• Managing and coordinating the appointed MEP subcontractor.
• Monitoring programme, quality and site progress.
• Coordinating electrical works with mechanical, structural and construction activities.
• Ensuring installations comply with drawings and specifications.
• Managing health and safety standards across the package.
• Attending site meetings and reporting progress to the project team.
• Managing testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities.

Electrical Site Manager - MEP / Building Services

Location: Anglesey

Contract: Approximately 8 months. Start on site in December 2026

Day rate plus travel and accommodation expenses

Mech Electrics is recruiting for a key client delivering a significant new 132kV substation development on Anglesey.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee the MEP installation within a new two-storey building, one level of which will house the switchgear.

This is not a specialist high-voltage installation role. The position is focused on managing the building's electric and mechanical services package, including LV power, lighting, cable management, security systems and basic mechanical ventilation.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing the electrical and associated MEP installation
• Managing and coordinating the appointed MEP subcontractor
• Monitoring programme, quality and site progress
• Coordinating electrical works with mechanical, structural and construction activities
• Ensuring installations comply with drawings and specifications
• Managing health and safety standards across the package
• Attending site meetings and reporting progress to the project team
• Managing testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities

Essential requirements:

• Previous Electrical Site Manager experience
• Strong building-services or MEP installation knowledge
• Experience managing subcontractors on major construction projects
• In-date SMSTS
• In-date First Aid certificate
• Valid CSCS card
• Ability to commit to the project for approximately eight months

This position would suit an Electrical Site Manager with a solid MEP contracting background. Previous substation experience would be helpful but is not essential, as the role concerns the services within the building rather than the specialist 132kV infrastructure.

A competitive day rate is available. Travel and accommodation expenses will also be paid for a suitable contractor willing to stay locally in Anglesey for the duration of the project
