Mitie is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer for Major Projects in Scotland. The role requires a strong electrical background in DNO/IDNO/ICP with renewable/embedded generation experience and relevant authorisations.

Hybrid working in Scotland with some travel requires a Full UK driving license. The successful candidate will manage electrical elements across multiple projects from design to handover, provide technical support to supervision and project management, and lead technical meetings

Formación

• HND or degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years' experience on construction projects involving earthing.
• Experience with NEC, FIDIC contracts.

Responsabilidades

• Manage electrical elements on a portfolio of construction projects from design handover to construction completion, including cable testing and commissioning assistance.
• Provide technical support to the Construction Supervisor and Project Manager.
• Chair project technical meetings with design and operations teams, including DNO and client technical advisors.
• Review the project during the design process and ensure readiness for handover to construction.
• Assist the Project Manager to maintain delivery programme and meet timescales.
• Ensure electrical works comply with DNO G81, BS standards and client ERs.
• Determine labour & resource requirements for the project and assist with tender scope.
• Ensure projects are delivered to exceed client expectations.

Location: Scotland, hybrid working (must hold a Full UK driving licence required due to some travel requirements)

Job OverviewThe Electrical Engineer will have a strong electrical background in the DNO, IDNO or ICP industry with experience within the renewable or embedded generation sector. They will have industry authorisations with the supporting qualifications and experience. The role itself will support delivery of a portfolio of construction projects in Scotland and Northern England providing technical assistance to the project team.

Main Duties

• -To effectively manage the electrical element on a portfolio of construction projects from design handover to construction completion, including all associated cable testing and commissioning assistance.
• -Provide technical support to the Construction Supervisor and Project Manager.
• -Chair project technical meetings with the design and operations team, including DNO and client technical advisors.
• -Review the project throughout the design process and ensure its ready for handover to construction team.
• -Assist the Project Manager to ensure delivery programme is managed and maintained for each project, ensuring a logical and efficient approach is established, meeting the accepted timescales.
• -Ensure all electrical works are complainant with the relevant DNO G81, BS standards and clients ER`s
• -Determine labour & resource requirements for the project and assist the Project manager and commercial team with technical scope for the tenders.
• -Ensure projects are delivered to exceed the client's expectations.

What We Are Looking For

• -HND or degree level education in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• -5 years working in relevant and similar construction projects consisting of earthing
• -Have worked under standard construction contracts e.g. NEC. FIDDIC etc
