Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Scotland is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to lead electrical delivery across major projects. You will manage design to handover, coordinate with the project team, and ensure compliance with DNO standards.

The role requires HND or degree in electrical engineering, 5 years’ construction experience, NEC/FIDIC familiarity, and SAP LV & HV qualification. Hybrid working and a full UK driving licence are supported.

• Provide technical support to the Construction Supervisor and Project Manager.
• Chair project technical meetings with design and operations teams, DNO and client advisers.
• Review the project during the design process and ensure readiness for handover to construction.
• Assist the Project Manager to maintain delivery programmes and milestones.
• Ensure electrical works comply with DNO G81, BS standards and client specifications.
• Determine labour and resource requirements and assist with tender scope for electrical works.
• Deliver projects to exceed client expectations.

Salary: Base Salary Of £75-80,000k + Package, Including Private Medical.

Location: Scotland, hybrid working (must hold a Full UK driving licence required due to some travel requirements)

Job Overview

The Electrical Engineer will have a strong electrical background in the DNO, IDNO or ICP industry with experience within the renewable or embedded generation sector. They will have industry authorisations with the supporting qualifications and experience. The role itself will support delivery of a portfolio of construction projects in Scotland and Northern England providing technical assistance to the project team.

Main Duties

• To effectively manage the electrical element on a portfolio of construction projects from design handover to construction completion, including all associated cable testing and commissioning assistance.
• Provide technical support to the Construction Supervisor and Project Manager.
• Chair project technical meetings with the design and operations team, including DNO and client technical advisors.
• Review the project throughout the design process and ensure its ready for handover to construction team.
• Assist the Project Manager to ensure delivery programme is managed and maintained for each project, ensuring a logical and efficient approach is established, meeting the accepted timescales.
• Ensure all electrical works are complainant with the relevant DNO G81, BS standards and clients ER`s
• Determine labour & resource requirements for the project and assist the Project manager and commercial team with technical scope for the tenders.
• Ensure projects are delivered to exceed the client's expectations.

• Have worked under standard construction contracts e.g. NEC. FIDDIC etc
• Qualified as SAP LV & HV
