Job description

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be working with a leading semiconductor manufacturer, working on devices for the defence sector. With a 10-year plan in place, they are a progressive team with lots of room for growth.

This is a permanent, full-time on-site position.

Site Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and oversee the commissioning and maintenance of all new and existing electrical installations on site, ranging from 11,000v down to 100v systems.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostic and optimisation activities across site electrical and instrumentation system and equipment.
• Ensure costs are minimised without compromising the quality of the service provided and to check operational control.
• Assist the O&M Group to solve electrical problems, ensuring minimum disruption to the plant.
• Produce maintenance schedules and manuals as necessary and approve these and other key technical documents for use within the department.
• Assist in the production of electrical system designs for process and utilities systems.
• Prepare documentation, write reports and give presentations as necessary.
• Provide technical data and documentation required for the preparation of proposals.

Site Electrical Engineer Key Requirements:

• Experience working on LV/HV distribution systems within an industrial/facilities environment.
• Demonstrable experience of electrical HV switching.
• Good knowledge of motors control systems and circuits (DOL, S/D, VSD).
• Ability to organise and motivate a team and to delegate work to others.
• Ability to work within a multi-trades team.
• Degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• IEE 16th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Must be a British Citizen and willing to be Security Check (SC) cleared.
