Job summary

Port of Tilbury London is looking for an Electrical Shift Technician to join the LCTE Engineering team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on terminal equipment, diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs across site.

The role requires working at height, strict safety compliance, and logging maintenance data. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off (2 days/2 nights) including weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills across industrial and mobile plant.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety requirements and safe working practices.
• Experience with AC drive systems, electric motors and inverter drives.
• Experience of PLC systems and fault diagnostic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair container cranes, straddle carriers and other terminal equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Record all maintenance activities, inspections, fault findings and repairs.
