Job summary

Diageo is seeking a Shift Engineer to enhance line efficiency by reducing unplanned downtime and improving planned maintenance. You will lead CI initiatives, collaborate with maintenance teams, and ensure quick turnarounds through root cause analysis.

Key duties include managing PPM schedules, SAP input, and supporting capital projects while upholding health and safety standards and KPI achievement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with recognised apprenticeship and HNC or equivalent.
• 17th or 18th Edition qualification.
• Knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, motors, ASi/Profibus and electro-pneumatics.
• PLC fault finding and diagnostic experience preferred.
• Experience in a production, manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance, asset care and preventative maintenance.
• Skilled in fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Collaborative team player focused on safety and KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Improve line efficiency by minimising unplanned stoppages and improving maintenance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives with maintenance teams.
• Manage PPM schedules and SAP input.
• Support capital work including installation and commissioning.
• Work with operators and reliability engineers on root cause analysis.
• Participate in daily tier meetings to address performance issues.
• Conduct daily craft inspections and repairs during downtime.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and monitor targets.
