Job summary

Diageo in Belfast is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to lead asset care, minimise downtime, and drive improvements across the production line. You will manage PPM schedules, support capital projects, and work with OEMs for solutions while ensuring health and safety compliance.

The role requires an Electrical Apprenticeship and an Electrical HNC (or equivalent), plus 17th/18th edition and knowledge of VFDs, servo drives, ASi/Profibus, and PLC fault finding.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship and Electrical HNC (or equivalent qualification).
  • 17th or 18th Edition qualified.
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives, servo drives and motors, ASi bus, Profibus and electro-pneumatics.
  • PLC fault finding and diagnostic experience (preferred).
  • Proven experience in a production/manufacturing environment with FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and asset care practices.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement and improvement of Asset Care KPI’s through efficient maintenance, repairs, and problem solving across site.
  • Support capital work including installation, commissioning and early equipment management; review RCM as needed.
  • Work with Operators, Reliability Engineers and Shift Managers on root cause analysis.
  • Participate in Daily Tier meetings to address and resolve performance issues.
  • Conduct Daily Craft Inspections and ensure health and safety compliance.
