Job summary

Canary Wharf is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a facilities management team in a large commercial building. You will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of landlord areas, delivering PPM, reactive repairs and technical support across the site.

The role operates on a continental shift pattern covering days and nights, with a proactive approach to safety and compliance. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and strong fault-finding skills are required, and the successful

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is required.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential.
Good knowledge of electrical systems and related regulations.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical maintenance across landlord areas.
Diagnose faults and complete electrical repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
Maintain electrical distribution systems, lighting, emergency lighting and associated building services.
Support the maintenance of plant rooms, risers, landlord supplies and communal areas.
Respond to building faults and emergencies, ensuring issues are resolved safely and efficiently.
Complete routine inspections, testing and fault-finding activities.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety procedures and relevant electrical regulations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the site's CAFM system.
Work collaboratively with other shift engineers and specialist contractors.
