Job summary

HVAC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer for a large commercial healthcare contract in Central London. You will perform electrical maintenance and fault-finding across a busy building services environment, working alongside a Mechanical Engineer to keep site plant operational.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 Electrician, 18th Edition helpful, and offers a continental 4 on/4 off days and nights with overtime and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Healthcare/FM experience advantageous but not essential.
• Comfortable with continental days/nights shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance.
• Electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
• Maintenance and repair of motors, contactors and electrical components.
• Emergency lighting testing and repairs.
• Lighting, sockets, switches and general electrical repairs.
• Replacing faulty electrical components.
• Basic plant room and building services maintenance.
• Responding to electrical breakdowns and faults.
• Working with the Mechanical Engineer to keep site plant and services operational.
• Completing maintenance tasks in line with PPM schedules and site requirements.

Electrical Shift Engineer

Location: Central London

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime

Shift: Continental 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights

We are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading FM company on a large, established commercial healthcare contract in Central London.

Working alongside a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a busy building services environment.

The Role

• Carrying out electrical PPMs and reactive maintenance
• Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
• Maintenance and repair of motors, contactors and electrical components
• Emergency lighting testing and repairs
• Lighting, sockets, switches and general electrical repairs
• Replacing faulty electrical components
• Basic plant room and building services maintenance
• Responding to electrical breakdowns and faults
• Working alongside the Mechanical Engineer to ensure site plant and services remain operational
• Completing maintenance tasks in line with PPM schedules and site requirements

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience
• Previous commercial building services / FM experience
• 18th Edition beneficial but not essential
• NHS or healthcare experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Comfortable working a continental days and nights shift pattern
