Job summary

Invictus Group in City of London is seeking an Electrical Day Shift Engineer to maintain electrical building services on a prestigious site.

You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and ensure safe, high-standard operation. Working 7:00am–6:00pm on a 4 on/4 off days pattern with overtime opportunities, the role offers a private pension and clear progression toward Senior Engineer.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.
• Professional and proactive approach to maintenance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.
• Ensuring electrical systems and equipment are maintained to a high standard.
• Responding to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
• Completing routine inspections and testing.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.

• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.
• Working proactively to identify potential issues before they become major faults.

Electrical Day Shift Engineer

Location: City of London

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days Only

Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm (11-hour shifts)

Overtime: Available
