Job summary

Invictus Group in London is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer for a large commercial site near Liverpool Street to join a skilled engineering team. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within a modern building.

The role involves PPM and breakdown maintenance, fault-finding on lighting, power distribution and control systems, and collaboration with building services, with a strong emphasis on safety compliance.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification is ideal.
• Experience in a commercial or critical building environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills and ability to work independently on shift.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
• Fault-finding and remedial repairs on lighting, power distribution and controls.
• Collaborate with mechanical and building services teams.

Electrical Shift Engineer – Liverpool Street – £52,000

Location: Liverpool Street, London

Salary: up to £52,000 per annum

Shifts: Four-on Four-off Days Only (07:00-19:00)

About the Role

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading building maintenance provider at a large commercial near Liverpool Street, London.

You’ll be part of a skilled engineering team, delivering planned and reactive maintenance across electrical systems within a modern commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Shift Engineer

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and building services equipment.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Fault-finding and remedial repairs on lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
• Work alongside mechanical and building services teams as part of a multi-skilled maintenance operation.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and site documentation.

Requirements of the Electrical Shift Engineer

• City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification (ideal).
• Proven experience in a commercial or critical building environment.
• Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently on shift.
