Equans UK & Ireland is recruiting an Electrical Shift Building Maintenance Engineer for Southmead Hospital in Bristol. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on building services, ensuring safe operation of HVAC and electrical systems.

The role requires an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent, 18th Edition, and the ability to read drawings. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for site operations and contractor oversight.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade apprenticeship or Level 2/3 qualification with 18th Edition.
• Strong understanding of building services installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings and diagnose faults.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical/electrical systems across the site.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Supervise subcontractors and manage works safely.
