Job summary

Clear. in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair diesel generators and control systems across Northern Ireland.

The role involves fault diagnosis, on-site and remote support, and occasional travel with an on-call rota. You will work with ComAp/Deep Sea controllers and read electrical drawings, requiring 3+ years' experience and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• ONC/D, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Time-served electrical technician/electrician with 3+ years’ experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with generator controls (ComAp/Deep Sea).
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and ancillary equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, including control panels to component level.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Interrogate and program ComAp and Deep Sea generator controllers.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Support generator control system upgrades and new installations.
• Provide initial fault finding remotely and on-site.
• Participate in an on-call rota and attend breakdowns when required.
• Occasional travel throughout Ireland, including overnight stays.
